If the update is genuinely helpful and worth the trouble, does anyone know how I can get the update function to work?ĮDIT: Please, no recommendations that I upgrade to 15. If this solves any of them, that'd be good, and increased performance is always nice.)Ģ. Do I even need to worry about this at all? Is the 12.5 update worthwhile? Does it really solve any problems? (I didn't previously update, so I've lived without the update until now, but there are of course various DNS annoyances. Subsequently ran a Repair from my installation media and it did say there was some stuff to repair, but that didn't make any difference either. When I do Help | Check for updates, I do get the notification that "A newer version of your Dragon NaturallySpeaking Software is available", and I'm assuming this refers not to 13 or 15 but to the 12.5 update, but the column to the left reads "Updates - (0) / Critical - (0) / Important - (0)" and the Install / Download Only buttons at the bottom are grayed out. Anyhow, everything except Natspeak is fine-and Natspeak too is working fine, except I can't update it from 12 to 12.5.

It'd be theoretically possible, but for various reasons I won't go into, that's not going to happen. All sorts of stuff, several days' worth of full days' work, and no feasible way to roll it back.
